Happy π Day!!! I love π Day because it’s a chance to celebrate math and all of the amazing things that come from it. Like engineering. And I try to inspire young engineers every day at Left Brain Craft Brain. One craft at a time :) Here are some fun things you can do to celebrate!

#### What is Pi?

Pi is a numerical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to it’s diameter. And it’s equal to 3.14159. Approximately. Because Pi is an irrational number that can never be written in it’s entirety.

#### Celebrate the Pi Day of the Century

2015 is a very special year for π. Because we have the date 3/14/15 and at 9:26:53 you can celebrate a few more digits.

#### Pi Activities for Kids

**Think about being an Engineer:** And when I say Engineer, I mean an MIT Engineer, like me. And learn one of the cheers for the school that celebrates π every day.
