Colorful Pour Art White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Have you been following along on the pour art trend? You can create these gorgeous paintings by dumping a cup of assorted color paints on a canvas. It’s a totally therapeutic style of art that gives cool, swirled, bursts of color on a canvas. I could stare at them all day. But, paint gets expensive, and a girl has to eat, so I kind of have a fun hobby. And that’s incorporating art into everything. Like turning STEM into STEAM and adding art to my food. And that brought about these Colorful Pour Art White Chocolate Covered Pretzels. I can sink my teeth into their cool, swirled, bursts of colorful white chocolate all day long…

These colorful pour art white chocolate covered pretzels are a beautiful addition to any cookie tray. Perfect for Christmas, unicorn birthday parties, or any special occasion. Candy melts make them easy.

Colorful Pour Art White Chocolate Covered Pretzels Ingredients

These gorgeous sweetly swirled pretzels are made with candy melts, a colored white chocolate copycat, to save some time. If you have candy coloring (regular food coloring won’t work) and a bit more time, grab some white chocolate and tint it yourself. The cocoa butter in white chocolate gives them a richer flavor. I used pink, yellow, blue, and purple, but you can customize the colors to any occasion. They would be awesome swirled in school colors for an event or bake sale or red, green, and white for Christmas.

How to Make Colorful Pour Art White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Your first step is to melt the candy melts. Throw them in a microwave-safe bowl, add a teaspoon of coconut oil, and then microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Once you get each color melted, pour a layer of each color into a short glass. Then you can give it a little stir to help mix the colors ahead of time.

Then pour your white chocolate over your pretzels that have been layed out on a wire rack over some parchment.

Once you’ve covered all the pretzels, use a fork to move them over to a parchment covered baking sheet. Then pop your pretzels into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to chill.

Aren’t these pour art covered pretzels gorgeous? And totally delicious too. You can also use pretzel rods and dip them into the glass for swirled unicorn tail pretzels.

Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: Pretzels
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 3 minutes
Cooling Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 16 pretzels

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 16 pretzels, regular size
  • 1 cup pink candy melts
  • 1 cup purple candy melts
  • 1 cup blue candy melts
  • 1 cup yellow candy melts
  • 4 teaspoons coconut oil, separated

Tools needed:

  • 2 baking sheets
  • wire cooling rack
  • wax paper

Instructions

  • Line both of your baking sheets with wax paper. Place wire rack on top of one of the baking sheets – this is the setup you’ll be using to do the actual pouring of the candy melts.
  • Place each batch of candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls. Line up your pretzels on the wire rack.
  • Place one teaspoon of coconut oil in every bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals until completely melted.
  • Pour a portion of each candy melt color into a drinking glass (aim for something short but sturdy – like a whiskey glass), filling up the glass about half-way. You will not be using all of the candy melts right away, the pouring will be done in batches.
  • Pour the candy melts over each pretzel, evenly distributing the colors so that the top of the pretzels are completely coated. Use a fork to remove the colored pretzel onto your second lined baking sheet.
  • Repeat until all pretzels are covered. Place in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes or until candy melts are set. Enjoy!
